The International Center for Human Development (ICHD) invites both mid-career and young professionals for Human Development Fellowships. The residential fellowship of 3-months duration is targeted at individuals 25-35 years of age. Academics, civil servants, and civil society practitioners in Africa, Arab Region, Asia & the Pacific, Europe & the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Latin America & the Caribbean with 3-5 years of relevant work experience are encouraged to apply for the fellowship program.
The fellows will conduct research during the fellowship period (August to September 2014). Also, they will make policy recommendations, policy brief, prepare and present a research outline at a workshop. The fellows will be provided monthly grant of INR50,000 each along with accommodation, living expenses, and return air fare to the country of residence.

Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals must be the nationals of an eligible country in the following regions – Africa (Botswana, Cameroon, The Gambia, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania and Zambia), Arab States (Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia), Asia & the Pacific (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Kiribati, Lao PDR, Maldives, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Palau, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Vietnam), Europe & the Commonwealth of Independent States (Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey), and Latin America &the Caribbean (Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela).
- Applicant must be between 25 and 35 years of age at the time of deadline.
- Applicant must have 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Masters degree in relevant discipline is desirable.
- UN staff member or an Indian Institute of Advanced Study staff/Fellow cannot apply for the fellowship.
- Applicants must have proficiency in English language.
