Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing is seeking applications for International Postgraduate Research Scholarship at Queensland University of Technology. The mission of this program is to attract top quality international postgraduate students to areas of research strength in the Australian higher education sector and support Australia’s research effort.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be an overseas student as defined by the Higher Education Support Act 2003 (the Act)
- meet international student visa requirements as specified by the Australian Government Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), including the requirement to purchase and maintain a standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing
- be commencing full-time enrolment for the first time in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at QUT
- be undertaking study in a subject area identified by QUT as one of its areas of research concentration
- not hold a research qualification regarded by QUT to be equivalent to an Australian Research Doctorate or, if undertaking a Research Masters, not hold a research qualification regarded by QUT to be equivalent to or higher than an Australian Research Masters
- not have held an AusAID scholarship within the two years prior to commencing the IPRS
- not be receiving a scholarship for which course tuition is a component under any other scholarship scheme to which the Australian Government makes a substantial contribution
