Candidates are invited to apply for fellowships research program in Art Histories and Aesthetic Practices offered by Berlin-based Forum Transregionale Studien. The objective of this programme is to open the disciplinary boundaries of art history to a transcultural, global horizon.
Scholarship offers-
Postdoctoral fellows will receive a monthly stipend of € 2.500 plus supplements depending on their personal situation. Organizational support regarding visas, insurance, housing, etc. will be provided. Successful applicants will be fellows of the program Art Histories at the Forum Transregionale Studien and are expected to take up residence in Berlin.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Scholars are invited from Islamic, Asian, African, European, Latin American art histories to join the program and also addresses neighbouring disciplines such as archaeology and other fields dealing with the history of visual cultures.
- Applicants should have obtained their doctorate within the last seven years before their application.
Documents required-
- a curriculum vitae (in English)
- a project description of what you will work on if granted a fellowship (no longer than five pages / in English)
- a sample of scholarly work (circa 20 pages from an article, conference paper, or dissertation chapter)
- names of two referees (including their e-mail addresses)
