University of Minnesota students who are participating in international research (field, archival or collaborative research and writing) or internship/study (internships, participation in an exchange, group seminar, clinical experience or practical training) are invited to apply for Interdisciplinary Perspectives on International Development (IPID) Graduate and Professional Grants. The grant aims to provide an additional funding source to graduate and professional students participating in international research, internship or study.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants may be citizens of any country.
- The project must also be conducted in a country approved for travel by the University of Minnesota. The project duration must be at minimum three (3) weeks and conducted in a country other than United States.
- Applicants must be enrolled in a University of Minnesota graduate or professional degree program at the time of application.
- A faculty adviser must approve the project.
- A student may be awarded multiple grants, but not more than the total cost of the experience.
- Applicants must disclose all sources of funding. Grantees are responsible for all project-related arrangements.
- Students who have received an IPID grant in the past are ineligible to apply again.
