All eligible researchers are invited to submit applications for CSIR/CFTRI Diamond Jubilee fellowship Program offered by NAM S&T Centre and CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute. The goal of this program is to provide opportunities to the researchers from the developing countries to affiliate themselves with CSIR-CFTRI to undertake training, upgrade their research skills and conduct joint research in various fields of Food Science & Technology.
Objectives-
- To provide opportunities to the scientists and researchers from the developing countries to work with senior researchers in CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, India for upgrading their research skills in the fields related to Food Science & Technology.
- To facilitate the scientists and researchers from the developing countries to undertake training or joint research projects at CSIR-CFTRI.
- To provide a mechanism to the scientists and researchers from the developing countries to use the equipment and facility of CSIR-CFTRI for their own research activity on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
- To facilitate exchange of information and contacts and create a network between the scientists and researchers from India and other developing countries.
The Fellowship scheme provides attractive financial assistance, under which CSIR-CFTRI would provide free single accommodation in Mysore, India and a subsistence allowance of US$300 (in equivalent Indian Rupees) per month to the selected researchers to cover incidentals and other day-to-day expenses (including food & others) during the tenure of the Fellowship.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Researchers having academic qualification of at least M.Sc. or equivalent and engaged in research and development in Food Science and Technology. Candidates possessing doctoral degree would be preferred.
- The upper age limit is 40 years.
- The Fellowship is open to scientists and researchers from any developing country. Only one person from each country will be considered each year for the Fellowship Award on a competitive basis and merit.
- The Applicants should be employed with academic Universities or research Institutions or Governmental bodies with proven research & development programmes.
- Researchers from India are not eligible to apply for the Fellowship.
