Deadline: 18 May 2014
‘Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI) 2014 Copenhagen Powered by Art’ is an open design competition targeted at designers, artists, engineers, architects, landscape architects, university students, urban planners, scientists, and anyone who believes that the world can be powered beautifully and sustainably. The major aim of the competition is to advance the successful implementation of sustainable design solutions by integrating art and interdisciplinary creative processes into the conception of renewable energy infrastructure.
Eligibility –
- The competition is open to everyone, particularly aimed at artists, urban planners, architects, landscape architects, and engineers. Professionals, any member of the public, and students are eligible to enter the competition.
LAGI 2014 Design Entries Must
- Consist of a three dimensional sculptural aimed in broader ideas like ecological systems, human habitation and development, energy and resource generation and consumption, and/or other concepts.
- Capture energy from nature, convert it into electricity, and have the ability to store, and/or transform and transmit the electrical power to a grid connection point to be designed by others.
