The Netherlands Fellowship Program is inviting applications from working professionals in government, non-government or private organizations in one of the NFP Countries for Project Identification, Development and Management Training being held at Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands, from 15th September 2014 through 3rd October 2014. The major objective of the fellowship program is to help increase the number along with competencies of skilled staff in government and non-government organizations working in the Project Management Sector. Individuals who are responsible for projects (e.g., project managers, team leaders, senior project staff, and project decision makers) in terms of project design, development, and implementation for (inter) national development projects are encouraged to apply for the training course. Women and those working in Sub-Saharan Africa are strongly encouraged to apply.
The fellows participating in Project Identification, Development and Management Training Course will learn basic analytical, technical, and a managerial skills and tools for use in the development and management of projects; learn about their own individual management skills such as leadership, networking, communication skills, negotiation skills as well as how to expand and enhance these skills to manage projects effectively; gain an understanding of project success and project failure indicators; and how course content and discussion can be applied to their own home projects.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, having a minimum of 6 years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years experience related to project identification, development, and management; and be English proficient (spoken and written). Non-native English speakers must demonstrate their proficiency with set minimum standardized test results (TOEFL, IELTS), or the results from a local, recognized English language proficiency test; or a signed recommendation by a sponsoring partner or previous employer in regards to the applicant’s English language proficiency.
- Applicants should apply directly to the Maastricht School of Management through the online application system to be a part of the training program and should apply for NFP as well.
- Applicant must be a working professional in and from one of the NFP Countries.
- Applicants must be nominated by their employer in order to be considered for the Fellowship. A clear need for training within their organization must be documented.
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of work-related experience and must be able to implement new knowledge and skills into their organization.
