Deadline- 1 October 2013
Nominations are invited for The World’s Children’s Prize which is awarded for outstanding contributions for the rights of the child. The mission of this award is to empower children those who are suffering from violations of their rights. The longer the period and/or the harder the circumstances under which candidate has been fighting for the rights of the child, the more likely that they will be picked as a World’s Children’s Prize candidate.
All nominations are carefully screened by World’s Children’s Prize, and those that qualify are submitted to the International Children’s Jury. The Jury annually select three final prize candidates. Then, The World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child is awarded by the millions of voting children participating in the WCP program and the annual Global Vote. The remaining two candidates receive the World’s Children’s Honorary Award. Please note that the WCP voting rules state that a Prize candidate cannot be elected to receive the World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child if s/he/the organization candidate receives the majority of the votes because of the voting results in his/her/their home country, but did not receive the majority of all votes from the rest of the world.
