Nominations of individual or institution or association by any individuals, institutions or associations are being accepted for Geneva Prize Foundation for Human Rights in Psychiatry. The prize intends to acknowledge an individual; or an institution or association (with governmental or non-governmental status) for exceptional achievement at regional, national or international level in Promoting equity and humane qualities of care for people with mental illness; reducing negative discrimination of the mentally ill; and defending the rights of people with mental illness, and supporting the application of ethical principles in psychiatric services.
Prize –
- Cash Prize Swiss Francs 20,000
- A Medal
- A diploma
Eligibility Criteria –
- Nominee can be any individual, or an institution or association (with governmental or non-governmental status) that has made exceptional achievement at regional, national or international level.
- Nominations can be made by individuals, institutions or associations. Self-nominations are not accepted.
- The nomination should be presented in typed form in English or French (maximum 4 pages of text).
- Nomination may be accompanied by up to three testimonials written by individuals familiar with the nominee’s work.
