Filmmakers around the world are invited to participate in Fourth Amazon Short Film Festival which is organized by commission created by the General Curator of the Festival. This program will be held at Porto Velho, Rondônia – Amazon – Brazil on June 3 – 8, 2013.
The films that will be competing in Competition must be made from January 1, 2008, full-length, medium and short films in the genres of animation, experimental, documentary and fiction, plus the music video category with production up to 5 minutes. To the knowledge of all the films short film should have a duration up to 15 minutes already included credit, medium-length films lasting up to 69 minutes and full-length over 70 minutes, the standard adopted by the National Cinema, the Ancine.
The winners of the competitive exhibits will receive the “Blue Macaw” trophy, which pays homage to an endangered bird of the Amazon forest.
Eligibility & Criteria-
The productions can be Brazilian and foreign, this year we are opening the category of medium-length, serving numerous requests from filmmakers last year. The Festival advances in relentless pursuit of its consolidation, creating windows alternative view independent films of our officers and directors who believe that it is possible to make quality movies that country plural, strengthening the productive chain of Brazilian Cinema.
