Veolia Environnement Foundation announced 2013 The Student Solidarity Awards, which aim to encourage the initiatives and involvement of school and university students in community-oriented projects. The awards reward innovative approaches contributing to sustainable development and the mobilization of synergies between players (cofunding, pooling of skills, etc.).

Awards/Benefits-
- Financial support in the form of a grant: depending on the requirements and specific features of each project, the jury shares a total grant of 15,000 euros between the three winners. The grant to the first prize winner may be smaller than the one to the second and/or the third.
- Technical support in the form of expertise, through the employee sponsorship program involving the employees of the Veolia Environnement group in France and internationally.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- The Student Solidarity Awards are aimed exclusively at associations (legal entities) formed by students currently pursuing their studies in schools and universities (Master’s level) in France and internationally, in any country where the Veolia Environnement group is present.
- Eligible associations may have several years of existence, or may be recently created, or even be applying for their first grant in the context of the Student Solidarity Awards.
- Two or more associations can join together to submit an application for a joint project in connection with the Student Solidarity Awards. In this case, a single association of the group will be designated to be the project leader and will be the sole interlocutor.
