Event timings–

Participants from around the world are invited to participate in 24 Hours In World Journalism award program. This program is organized by John Dale, the veteran journalist/John Dale Publishing Ltd (JDP Ltd). The grand award will be offered up to $10,000. The aim of organizing this event is to encourage journalistic excellence, the promotion of freedom of expression and the recognition of journalistic courage and integrity.
This award is about telling the story of those who tell the story. Event will also deal with human interest, health and family, love and motherhood, showbiz and fashion, travel and shopping, politics, work and sport – all human life – and describe the power of the photograph and the video.
Award-
John Dale Publishing Ltd (JDP Ltd) will award a total of $10,000 (ten thousand US dollars) to 7 individual contributors as follows: one award of $5,000; one of $2,500; and five of $500 each; plus a further 5 contributors will be sent a free copy of the book, 24 Hours in World Journalism (working title), and a further 5 contributors will be sent a copy of the book, 24 Hours in Journalism (2012 edition).
Please send-
- Write the document in the first person. Add color and dialogue. Give motivation, hopes and fears. Reports from photographers and videographers – including paparazzi – are very welcome.
- Length: 500–1000 words. But applicants decide. Make it longer if applicants wish.
- Applicants may use their native language they prefer. Send it as a single document, after that period has ended.
Eligibility & Criteria
- Everyone is invited to participate – editors, reporters, photographers, subs and news bloggers.
- Journalists in Britain and across the world to detail a whole day’s activities for new version of “24 Hours in world journalism” are invited to apply.
