Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) is inviting decision makers, planners, trainers, managers and specialists qualified to participate in reform processes of strategic importance for the energy sector in the country to apply for the training program ‘Efficient Energy Use and Planning’. The major objective of the training is to contribute to capacity building and change processes in the participants organizations in order to achieve sustainable and strategic energy efficiency in the participating countries taking poor people´s needs and rights into consideration.
The training will be offered in two parts –
- 3-26 February 2015 at Karlstad and Stockholm, Sweden
- October 2015 – location is yet to decide
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants can be from anywhere in the world but priority is given to South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.
- Applicants should hold a position with mandate to initiate and implement changes in the field of energy efficiency.
- Candidates representing government organizations, private companies or NGOs at national, regional or local level are eligible.
- Applicants must commit full participation (physical, mental and intellectual) in the training program (both parts).
