Storefront for Art and Architecture is inviting proposals from individuals or collectives across the globe for ‘Worldwide Storefront Seed Funding project’. The project is action that aims to unveil, produce and discuss experimental cultural works on a global scale from local points of view.
Selected entries will receive $1,000 each seed funding to initiate their projects along with strategic outreach support and technical and logistical mentorship. These entries will open from 19 September to 21 November (two months period) 2014 for exhibitions and events. Those events will be recorded and broadcasted through the WorldWide Storefront online platform and presented at the Storefront for Art and Architecture Gallery in New York.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applications must be submitted by individuals or collectives as an independent project.
- Submissions must not be directly associated with any existing institution.
- Applicants must agree that the submitted materials shall not be released nor exposed in public, press or other media before the announcement of selected entries or the cancellation of the call for proposals.
- Applicants must agree to permit Storefront for Art and Architecture to use the submitted materials for public posting, publication, or exhibition or for archival, promotional, educational, and such other purposes as Storefront shall determine.
Complete application includes – curatorial vision, location, exhibition(s) description, calendar of events, key participants, business plan/feasibility, submission form, curriculum vitae of applicants, letters of recommendation (at least 3) and support materials (previous work) of maximum 10 pages.
