Organizations in countries with development need are encouraged to apply for TRAID Funding 2014. The main purpose of the grant program is to fund projects that aim to combat the negative impacts of the textile supply and production chain on people and / or the environment. Applicants should fill and return the concept note application form.
The project can relate to any part of the textile supply and production chain. Projects should incorporate the following principles – reducing inequality; involving the local partner and beneficiaries in the project design, and including them in its implementation, monitoring and evaluation; building the capacity of the local organization(s); protecting and improving the environment or do it no harm; and aiming for sustainability.
TRAID encourages smaller organizations to apply, though applications from larger organizations are also accepted. The projects are supported for at least two years. Maximum fund available is £400,000 for 2014.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Projects must be in the country with a recognized development need.
- Southern-based organizations without a UK based partner are not eligible.
- Unregistered charities can also apply for the fund if they have audited accounts.
- Organizations that applied for funding previously can also apply.
