Global Fund for Women in collaboration with International Museum of Women is accepting Media submissions from women across the world for the global online media project ‘Imagining Equality: Your Voices on Women’s Human Rights’ .
This is an opportunity to share creativity to the global audience. The submission may be –
- Art – Images of paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints, or cartoons. Format – .jpg, or .bmp. File Size – 600 pixels wide, minimum 72 dpi (preferred 300 dpi). Must include a minimum 100 word description.
- Creative Writing – Short stories, poetry, or creative essay. Word limit – 300 to 1,500. Must include an image for visual interest and minimum 100 word description.
- Journalism/Activism Articles – Articles, essays or non-fiction writing. Word limit – 300 to 1,500. Must include image.
- Music/Audio – Music videos, songs, spoken word or podcasts. Must include minimum 100 word description. Format .avi, .mp3, .aiff, .aif, or .wav. File size 40MB.
Eligibility Criteria –
- The submissions may explore any aspect of equality and women’s human rights. For example (but not limited to) – Power, Poverty, Violence, Education, Work and Health.
- The submission must complete a sentence ‘Equality is ……’ – the gap must filled with ‘What Women’s Human Rights is to the Entrant’.
- Art & photography submissions are limited to 10 images per submission, music/audio & video/animation are limited to two videos per submission.
How to Complete the Sentence –
- Seek the answers to following questions –
- What have been the greatest victories and challenges for women in your community?
- What rights are you fighting for?
- Do you feel equal?
- What kind of world do you dream of?
- Prepare any type of media as answer to the questions.
- Accompany art, photo, music, or video with word description and written work with image.
- Tell the whole story – provide context and background of the work.
- Submit work. Give email address. Include personal picture and short bio too.
