Participants around the world are invited to participate in Summer University Srebrenica program for undergraduate and postgraduate students to conduct research projects. The objective of this program is to bring together domestic and foreign students, experts in the field, interested public, and members of the local community. It seeks to facilitate a high-level academic discussion and to enable significant research that focuses on Genocide, Transitional Justice, Human Rights, etc., while emphasizing the relevance of these themes for post-conflict societies. The program is expected to have a direct impact on economic and social development in Srebrenica.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Both undergraduate and graduate level students are welcome to apply for the first component of the program
- Participants who are planning to continue their research beyond July 11th 2013 must be MA and PhD candidates or researchers affiliated with an academic or research institution.
- Fluency in English is required.
- There are no specific citizenship requirements, and all participants receive free room and board, as well as travel expenses within Bosnia and Herzegovina. Participants must cover their own travel expenses to Srebrenica.
