The AECF TZAW is a special fund of the AECF that is only open to agribusiness investment in Tanzania.
The AECF’s aim is to support business innovation in Tanzania’s commercial agriculture sector. The Tanzania Agribusiness Window (TZAW) Competition seeks innovative and commercially viable business ideas that can result in a huge development impact if they can adequately mitigate the risk.
Eligibility-
- The widest possible range of agribusinesses are eligible for support, including farming, plantation and ranching companies, outgrower schemes, producers, manufacturers and distributors of agricultural inputs – seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, tools and equipment, agroprocessors, traders, merchants and other private sector service providers including market information, extension and other agricultural services.
- Only for-profit private sector companies are eligible. NGOs are not themselves eligible as lead applicants but may be included in a proposed partnership led by a private sector entity, including – plc, Ltd. by shares, registered co-operative society, partnership or sole trader.
