Vital Voices Global Partnership and Hilton Worldwide is inviting applicants for mentorship program, the Global Freedom Exchange to end trafficking. The program will be held in Washington, DC, New York City, and Dallas, Texas on June 17th – 28th, 2013. The program aims to engage emerging and established women leaders who are on the forefront of global efforts to prevent and end child sex trafficking.
The program will also develop an ongoing international network of activists working together to prevent and respond to the scourge of child sex trafficking throughout the world. This program will give special emphasis to ensuring that survivors of this crime are given the opportunity to become leaders in the movement to prevent and respond to trafficking.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- All candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the anti-trafficking field, particularly on issues related to child sex trafficking.
- All candidates must represent an NGO working to eliminate child sex trafficking.
- All candidates must speak and understand English.
- All candidates should have the capacity to benefit from an international exchange.
- All candidates should demonstrate leadership potential. They should lead or be actively engaged in organizations where they have the ability and interest in passing on new skills and contacts gained to other women and girls in their communities.
