Trans Global Health is accepting fellowship applications from eligible students around the world for PhD fellowship grants 2014 under EU Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Program. Applicant individuals should write a brief project proposal on a selected global health topic on one of the themes mentioned below:
Themes –
- Transdisciplinary approaches to the elimination/control of infectious diseases of poverty
- Shifts to non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and the interaction with infectious diseases
- Innovative approaches to enhance access to health care and prevention
Eligibility Criteria –
- The doctorate program is open to students from around the world with an academic master’s degree and at least 5 years (300 ECTS) of academic education.
- Student backgrounds must be relevant to the project: e.g. medical sciences, biomedical sciences, health sciences, medical anthropology, governance and health, health economics, etc.
- Candidates must have already obtained a first post-graduate degree or demonstrate a recognized equivalent level of learning according to national legislation and practices.
- Only candidates who have applied to and have been accepted by an Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate (EMJD) consortium in accordance with its specific doctoral candidate’s application and selection criteria are eligible for a fellowship.
- Application must be accompanied with a letter of motivation, curriculum vitae, copy of passport, copies of relevant diplomas, PhD project proposal for the selected themes, two letters of recommendation, proof of English language proficiency, and at least one article submitted to and/or published in a peer-reviewed journal.
