Turkish Government funded educational support program for International Students ‘Turkiye Scholarships Postgraduate Program is inviting applications for various postgraduate scholarships from eligible candidates for postgraduate programs. Students from anywhere in the world, except for Turkey, are invited to apply.
Postgraduate Scholarships are –
- Ali Kuşçu Science and Technology Scholarship Program
- İbni Haldun Social Sciences Scholarship Program
- Yunus Emre Turkish Language Scholarship Program
- Islamic Theology Scholarship Program
Turkiye Scholarship is both scholarship and university placement. Student can apply for only one scholarship in accordance with her/his educational background and academic goals. The scholarship covers a monthly stipend (app. 375 USD for master’s, 500 USD for doctorate), full tuition fee, free 1-year Turkish language course, free state-run dormitory accommodation, round-trip air ticket, and health insurance.
Eligibility for Postgraduate programs –
- Applicants must be citizen of a country other than Turkey (Anyone holding or ever held Turkish citizenship before cannot apply).
- Applicants must not be a registered student in Turkish universities at the level of study they are applying.
- Applicants must be a bachelor’s or master’s degree holder by 30th of July 2014 at the latest.
- Applicants must be under the age of 30 for master’s programs (born no earlier than 01.01.1984).
- Applicants must be under the age of 35 for doctorate programs (born no earlier than 01.01.1979).
- Applicants must have at least 75% cumulative grade point average or diploma grade over their maximum graduation grade or have at least 75% success in any accepted national or international graduate admissions test.
- Applicants must be in good health.
Complete application includes completed application form, copy of a bachelor or master’s diploma or document indicating that the candidate is bachelor or master’s senior student, certified bachelor and/or master’s transcript (indicating courses taken and relevant grades of the candidate), copy of a valid ID card (passport, national ID, birth certificate etc.), and passport photo.
