The Government of Republic of Korea, represented by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is offering 25 fellowships of two months duration to benefit the least developed countries (LDCs) in Africa and Asia and the Pacific within the framework United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)/Republic of Korea Co-sponsored fellowships program.
The fellowships are aimed at enhancing national capacity-building and they will enable candidates to participate in training course in the field of Education.
The two months training will be held from 1 September to 31 October 2014.
Course Titles:
- Teacher Training for Basic Education
- Use of ICT for Education (or eLearning)
- Leadership in Global Education
The fellowship includes tuition fees a monthly stipend intended to cover living expenses.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Applicants must be proficient in English language.
- Applicants can be maximum 50 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicant must be in good physical and mental health.
- Applicants must have a minimum 5-year career in the field of Education (i.e., educational policy, development of educational material or curriculum, school/class management and teacher’s training).
- Applications should be endorsed by the National Commission for UNESCO and must be made on a UNESCO fellowship application form.
Complete application includes – completed UNESCO fellowship application form, photocopies of Diplomas and school-certified transcript of academic records, and certificate of English Language Proficiency by an official authority (if English is not the medium of instruction in the home country), and two photographs.
