University of Oregon (UO) is accepting applications from graduate and undergraduate candidates for Global Oregon’s Summer 2014. Global Oregon aims to enhance internationalization in the student experience, in research, and in our outreach to the state and the world.
The undergraduate students can apply for one of the ten $500 research awards and graduate students can apply for $1,000 research awards that support study abroad, international internships, international research opportunities under the support for global education experience.
Eligibility Criteria –
- For undergraduate application, the proposed project must be clear and effective. For graduate application, the project must demonstrate innovative contribution to applicant’s field of study.
- Graduate application must demonstrate appropriate engagement with and contribution to a relevant body of scholarly literature.
- Applicant must demonstrate potential to advance the professional and intellectual development.
- Candidate must demonstrate academic success.
- Applicants with demonstrated financial need (Pell grant eligibility, pathways oregon etc) is preferred for undergraduate application.
- Applicants must demonstrate ability to contribute to the University of Oregon internationalization and to the overall mission of Global Oregon.
Complete application for undergraduate includes narrative proposal with timeline, and estimated expenses; resume; UO academic transcripts; and name and contact details of the applicant’s academic adviser.
Complete application for graduate program includes narrative, curriculum vitae, UO academic transcript, estimated expenditure and resources, and statement of support from the applicant’s adviser.
