University of Oslo is seeking applications for Doctoral Research Fellowship in Educational Sciences InterMedia that aims to push the boundaries of design and the use of digital environments in learning and communication.
CHANGE investigates learning and communication with digital representations in changing contexts, including schools, museums and workplace settings. The CHANGE group specialises in learning, cognition and design based on the social and cultural perspective. Key sociocultural concepts form the foundation of the analyses of the relations between learning, digital representations, the social practice of use and interaction.
Each applicant is expected to prepare his/her PhD research project so that it can be positioned within the research group CHANGE. The applicants should indicate their interest in applying to and participating in the national research school NATED It’s mainly track two, and to some degree track four, that has a strong overlap with the research profile in the CHANGE research group.
The fellowship period is up to four years, with three years devoted to the research work
Eligibility-
- A Master degree or equivalent in an area of relevance to the topic of the PhD research project.
- The research fellow positions require documented academic expertise in an area relevant to the proposed PhD research project.
- Applicants must document the requirements for admission to the PhD programme.
- Personal prerequisites to carry out the PhD-project within the time limit.

- PhD research project proposal, including a detailed progress plan for the project (9-10 pages)
- Master thesis and, if applicable, a list of academic publications.
- Along with copies of graduation certificates, applicants who graduated at a foreign higher education institution are expected to submit an explanation of their institution’s grading system. Please be aware that all documents should be in English or a Scandinavian language.
