United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Health (GH), Office of HIV/AIDS (OHA) is inviting proposals to provide support for an organization to conduct operational HIV and AIDS research entitled Project SOAR (Supporting Operational AIDS Research). The major purpose of the program is to promote utilization and dissemination of data, and build the capacity of local organizations to conduct operational research. Project SOAR aims to improve HIV and AIDS program outcomes through strengthened operations research and evaluation activities.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Registered US and non-US private non-governmental organizations, US and non-US non-profit organizations, US and non-US for-profit organizations willing to forego profit, US and non-US colleges and universities, private voluntary organizations, foundations, faith-based organizations (FBOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), host country organizations, private organizations affiliated with public academic institutions and international non-governmental organizations, private companies, professional associations, other international and indigenous organizations, and consortiums of the above are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be legally recognized organizational entities under applicable law.
- U.S. Government departments and agencies are not eligible to apply.
- Project activities must be conducted in Africa (Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Cote d’lvoire, Ethiopia, DRC, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, East Africa regional, West Africa regional, Southern Africa regional), Asia & Near East (Burma, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Vietnam, Asia Regional, Central Asia regional), Europe and Eurasia (Ukraine), and Latin America & Caribbean (Brazil, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haiti, Caribbean regional, Central America regional).
- Research activities awarded are – implementation science, operational research, performance evaluation, process evaluation, and impact evaluation.
