Social Innovation Lab Kampuchea (SILK) program build on local efforts by technology-oriented civil society organizations using innovative technology and social media for development by formalizing a technology/social innovation lab–notionally named Social Innovation Lab-Kampuchea (SILK) Cambodia.
The SILK provide training and assistance to civil society organizations (CSOs) on how to use technology to advance development outcomes; and serve as a platform from which Cambodia’s burgeoning technology sector can develop innovative tools to address development challenges.
The program is based on the concept of social innovation–an area of development activity that straddles both the private and non-profit sectors–and refers to the conceptualization and development of new strategies, goods and services that meet societal needs and strengthen civil society. The purpose of this RFA amendment is to incorporate the questions received and its responses as an integral part of this RFA.
