WOLFoundation is organizing competition for which best non-technical, English language writing on themes related to environmental issues are invited. The theme for 2013 competition is “An Aspirational Future “. The motive of this competition is to focus on socio-environmental issues and address the current year’s theme. Winners will receive a cash prize of $1,500. A further $500 will be awarded to the second placed entry.
WOLFoundation is a non-profit organization aimed at encouraging dialog and fresh thinking on subjects related to environmental questions. Foundation’s purpose is to find ways to break out of conventional thinking and unleash the imagination. They act as a catalyst for anyone who has fresh ideas on how to improve well-being – sustainably.
Submissions requirements-
- Entries should be written in prose in the English language. Applicant can submit essays or short stories, factual commentary or fiction – whichever way and whichever writing style applicant chooses to communicate their ideas. Just make it compelling.
- Essays should be aimed at a general readership and should be non-technical. No footnotes or citations are allowed.
- Submissions should be no longer than 2,000 words.
- Essays may have been published before provided they have the necessary permissions to re-publish.
Eligibility-
Everyone is welcome. Any one individual may submit up to three entries.
