World Agroforestry Centre and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research are jointly inviting blog entries from scientists, farmers, communities, governments, universities and their students, private individuals and companies in the sector to showcase their agro forestry projects to the world. The aim of the competition is to offer the people in agro forestry sector a platform to showcase their work. Theme of the competition is ‘The Trees for Life’.
The individuals working in these sectors should write blog post of 500-1,000 words that describes their agro forestry project, newest initiative, finest invention, ingenious idea for which the individual would like support, her/his latest research findings. The blog post and a picture that meets the theme should be emailed to enter the competition. The entry automatically enters the competition when organizer will publish the emailed blog post and picture in WCA2014 Blog and spread through social media. Now the public can vote the blog posts. Five most popular blogs will be announced in the World Congress on Agro Forestry being conducted in Vigyan Bhavan and Kempinski Ambience, Delhi India from 10-14 February 2014.The winning authors will receive certificate and signed copy of ‘The Trees for Life’ book that will be lunched in the congress. The best blog post will receive an Apple iPad.
Eligibility Criteria –
Scientists, farmers, communities, governments, universities and their students, private individuals and companies working in the sector of Agro forestry are eligible to enter the competition.
The blog post for the entry must be accompanied with a picture.
