World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Education for Nature Program (EFN) is inviting proposals from local and regional organizations in eligible countries for Conservation Workshop Grants 2014. The grant project funds organizations to train communities, stakeholders, park guards, and others on local and regional conservation issues.
Priority is given to local and regional organizations established in an eligible country for at least 3 years; and to those who train local participants. Organizations working in WWF priority eco-regions are prioritized.
Maximum grants amount for the proposed training can be up to $7,500.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicant organizations must have an established presence in an eligible country (please visit Conservation Workshop Grants page for the list of eligible countries).
- Proposed training and capacity building activities must provide skills and knowledge to groups that will help advance conservation in an eligible country.
- Proposal must include an active learning, practical skills, or field activity component.
- Training must take place within one year of submission of the application.
- Organizations are limited to one EFN Conservation Workshop Grant every two years.
