The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation ACP-EU (CTA) and its partners have announced YoBloCo Awards 2014. This is an opportunity for agriculture bloggers across ACP (Asian, Caribbean and Pacific) countries to submit their blog-site for the 2nd Edition of the YoBloCo Awards. The major aims of the competition are to put into limelight issues, successes and challenges faced by youth engaged in agriculture, in urban and rural areas; to encourage the production of information and the use of new information and communication technologies by young farmers groups and organizations interested in the youth in agriculture question; and promote the sharing of information on the issues of agriculture and rural development in ACP countries.
The award amount is up to 3,000 Euros which will help the blogger develop her/his own project for further career. The competition has set several special prizes including ‘best blog on family farming’ and ‘the best female blog’. Individuals or organizations who wish to submit a blog and take part in the competition will have about 4 months to prepare or update their blogs with content related to agriculture.
Eligibility Criteria –
- The entrant must be an agricultural blogger between 18 to 35 years of age. A screenshot of the blog along with an identification document that shows the date of birth of the entrant is must.
- All the fields of the form must be filled. In case of institutional blog, additional information is required. All the required documents should match what has been asked for to qualify as entrant.
