Proposals are accepted for Non State Actors and Local Authorities program for Cameroon under EuropeAid. The mission of this program is to to strengthen the capacities of Cameroonian civil society organizations as actors of a more just, open and democratic society.
Objectives-
- Promote civil society initiatives that aim at a better governance in the natural resources sector in Cameroon.
- Promote initiatives of civil society that allow the most vulnerable people and communities to have a better access to their rights in the penal and employment sectors, and this at all steps of the judicial chain.
- Promote initiatives of civil society that seek economic and social objectives by enabling jobs creation, entrepreneurship and decent working conditions.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 4 000 000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months exceed 60 months.
Eligibility-
- Eligibility for Non State Actors-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be a Non State Actor registered since at least two years at the time of the application
- be established in Cameroon or in a Member State of the European Union
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- Eligibility for Local Authorities-
- be a decentralized local authority or association of local authorities from Cameroon or from an EU Member State officially recognized as such, according to the legislation in force in their respective country.
