Applications are accepted by the American University in Cairo for the program Building Knowledge in Media Policy for Arab Countries in Transition. The objective of this program is to contribute to knowledge gaining and capacity building in the areas of media policy and media reform in the region.

Eligibility & Criteria-
- The program is intended for members of civil society organizations, advocates of media reform, journalists and media professionals.
- A group of 20 qualified trainees from Egypt, Libya and Tunisia are selected, taking gender balance into consideration.
- For international applicants, a passport valid for at least six months is required.
- As sessions are taught in Arabic, proven proficiency in written and spoken Arabic is essential to be qualified for the program
