Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) seeks proposals for a small grant competition that aims to support the grassroots Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in various regions of Georgia. The grant competition is designed to strengthen the organizational capacity of newly-established CSOs and to increase their effective and sustained engagement in decision-making processes at a local level.
The priority of the grant competition is to strengthen institutional capacity of grassroots CSOs in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti and their ability to identify and address the problems of their constituencies by participatory advocacy and dialogue. The competition’s focus is on the newly established CSOs working in these regions.
COMPETITION GOAL
The goal of this small grants competition is to improve the institutional capacity of recently established grassroots CSOs in the abovementioned regions, improve their interaction with communities and make them proactive participants in the decision-making at a local level.
COMPETITION OBJECTIVES
– Support activities directed at the enhancement of capacity of newly established regional CSOs in terms of organizational development, project management and public relations
– Support along with organizational development the activities focused on resolving a topical problem(s) of the local concern by the newly established CSOs in cooperation with local community and by lasting partnership with the media
ELIGIBILITY
Only the newly emerged non-profit CSO’s legally registered in Georgia and located in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti are eligible to submit proposals for the competition. Networks and coalitions of newly established grassroots CSOs and local media outlets are encouraged to apply.
GRANT FUNDS
The grant competition will award 3 (three) grants. The maximum grant award for each project is USD 5,000 with project activities lasting for no less than 8 months.
