Proposals are invited for European Neighbourhood Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development in Georgia (ENPARD Georgia) under Europe Aid. This program focuses on various specific aspects of the Strategy, including the topic of Strengthened co-operation amongst small farmers in order to increase production and reach economies of scale, by establishing business-oriented co-operation forms.
The ENPARD Programme also foresees a Small Farmers Co-operation component, aiming to support to the establishment of business-oriented small farmers’ groups (I.e. business-oriented organizations like cooperatives and alike). The programme allocates EUR 15 M for this purpose. The mission of this program is to contribute to the increase of food production in Georgia and a reduction in rural poverty and also to improve the agriculture sector in Georgia by supporting the implementation of the Agriculture Sector Strategy and strengthening small farmers’ organizations.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 15,000,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 36 months nor exceed 48 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non profit making
- be non-governmental organisations
- be established in Georgia or in a Member State of the European Union, and in this second case, to co-apply with at least one organization established in Georgia
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- have demonstrable experience of at least 3 years in implementing agriculture and/or rural development projects in Georgia within the last 10 years
