The Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is inviting applications for grant opportunity to Support Legal Socialization Reform in Armenia and Georgia. The aim of this project is supports Peace and Security by stabilizing and strengthening security institutions to build a global security capacity and by combating narco-trafficking and other transnational crimes. INL also supports Governing Justly and Democratically by strengthening justice sector institutions, good governance and respect for human rights.
The announcement is for the solicitation of two awards totaling up to $550,000 (Country awards are as follows: up to $300,000 for Georgia, and $250,000 for Armenia). INL is seeking proposals with an implementation period of 12 months, with projects being renewable up to four years, contingent upon availability of funds, recipient’s performance, and INL’s priorities.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Be a registered U.S. non-profit organization meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c) (3).
- Be a U.S. university or research institution meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c)
- Be a local in-country organization that can demonstrate current country registration, competent programmatic ability, and meet reporting requirements; or
- Be an international non-governmental organization
