All eligible are invited to submit Concept Paper for Increasing Participation of People with Disabilities in USAID Activities and Strengthen the Capacities of Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs). The goal of this program is to integrate youth and adults with disabilities in the competitive workforce by facilitating job training, internship opportunities and educating employers on best practices for hiring people with disabilities.
Subject to the availability of funds,the total estimated level of funding available for awards under this worldwide request is up to $5,000,000 over a 12-36 month period.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- All eligible local organizations may apply. Applicants may be local non-governmental organizations (NGO) and private for-profit companies willing to forego profit. Potential local private for-profit applicants should note that the payment of fee/profit to the prime recipient under grants and cooperative agreements is not allowed. Applications from Georgian organizations which are partnered with non-Georgian organizations will be eligible for consideration under this RFCP.
- To be considered eligible to apply under this RFCP, the local organization must satisfy all conditions below-
- Be organized under Georgian laws
- Have its principal place of business in Georgia
- Be majority owned by individuals who are Georgian citizens or lawful permanent residents of Georgia or be managed by a governing body, the majority of whom are Georgian citizens or lawful permanent residents of Georgia
- Not be controlled by a foreign entity or by an individual or individuals who are not citizens or permanent residents of Georgia
