Deadline: 29 April 2016
The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) has announced a five year programme titled- Preventing Violence Against Adolescent Girls (PVAAG) in order to contribute to the prevention of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Ghana.
It combines five mutually supportive components, bringing a holistic approach to the prevention of violence against women and girls that works at the individual, interpersonal, community and societal levels. At outcome level, the intervention seeks to reduce violence as experienced among adolescent girls in target communities.
The programme focuses on improving the enabling environment and the capability of adolescent girls to protect themselves from violence (including addressing harmful social norms that drive VAWG) as well as strengthening the evidence base on violence against adolescent girls in Ghana. Our intention is to focus on a results-based contract for this assignment.
