Food & Business Applied Research Fund is inviting proposals from public and private applied research practitioners’ organizations contributing to innovation for food security and private sector development. Major aim of the fund is to finance research supported innovations that will improve the food security and private sector development in the 15 partner countries of Dutch development cooperation.
The countries are – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Burundi, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, Yemen.
Grant application can be made within the range of EUR50,000 (for six months) to EUR300,000 (for 36 months).
Eligibility Criteria –
- The proposal should be a project of at least two partners – one private or public practitioner organization from one of the 15 partner countries of Dutch development cooperation acting as the main applicant and a research organization from a partner country or from the Netherlands, acting as a co-applicant.
- Projects should evolve by a concerted effort of practitioners and research and/or higher education organizations (co-creation).
- Projects should contribute to improving sustainable and inclusive access to sufficient and healthy food for the most vulnerable people in the Dutch LMIC-partner countries.
- Projects must show applicability of the newly developed or adjusted knowledge, insights, technologies, tools, products, services or policies.
