The International Growth Center (IGC) invites researchers in select developing countries to submit proposals to conduct research projects relevant to the growth policies in developing countries.

Research Program focuses on the production of cutting-edge and policy-relevant academic research (global public goods) that go towards informing effective policymaking in developing countries
Research Themes:
- Cities
- Energy
- Firm Capabilities
- State Effectiveness
Country Program focuses on tailoring top-quality research with the specific policy needs of the IGC’s partner countries – Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, India – Central and Bihar, Liberia, Myanmar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The proposed research should be innovative and must contribute to substantive creation of knowledge. It should help expand and strengthen the existing relevant literature on growth and development.
- The proposed research must contribute to evidence-based policy making in developing countries.
