The University of Sheffield invites students from Ghana to apply for a range of scholarships. The students who are starting their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2011 may apply for this opportunity if they demonstrate exceptional academic potential.
Presently the University offers scholarships for the following programs to the Ghanaian students:

Entry requirements for students from Ghana
University of Sheffield has been welcoming students from Ghana for many years and the staff are very familiar with the Ghanaian education system and qualifications.
High entrance requirements for the degree programmes at Sheffield reflect the quality of the University.
All applicants are required to have an internationally recognised English language qualification such as IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score that is accepted for entry is IELTS 6 or TOEFL Paper Based 550 or TOEFL Computer Based 213. Some departments may require a higher score.
SSSCE (WASSCE), English Grade 6 or above is accepted in place of IELTS or TOEFL
For Entry to Undergraduate Programmes e.g. BSc, BA, BEng/ MEng
A variety of qualifications can be considered for direct admission to undergraduate bachelor degree programmes. All applications for undergraduate programmes should be made through UCAS
A Level
Applicants with a minimum of 3 A levels will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.
International Baccalaureate
Applicants with a minimum of 28 points will be considered for direct admission to undergraduate programmes.
All applications for undergraduate study in the UK, including The University of Sheffield, must be made through an organisation called Universities and Colleges Admissions Service or UCAS.
