United States Agency for International Development, Ghana (USAID/Ghana) is requesting applications for ‘Systems for Health’ program. The major purpose of the program is to to improve access and quality of family planning (FP), maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), nutrition, malaria prevention and treatment, and interventions to improve the management and performance of health systems that support these services.
One project will be awarded one Cooperative Agreement of up to $68.7 million for a period of up to five years. The recipient is expected to strengthen management of Regional Health Management Teams (RHMTs) and District Health Management Teams (DHMTs), including financial, information, personnel, and performance management systems.
Expected Results –
- Strengthen the Regional and District health planning, financial management, implementation, supervision, and monitoring processes to achieve an effective health sector response.
- Improve Management and System Performance at Facility and Community Levels.
- Improve quality and use of priority health services in the five regions.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applications must be submitted in two separate parts – technical and cost or business application.
- Technical applications should be specific, complete and presented concisely.
- The proposed project should take place in one of the following five regions of Ghana – Greater Accra, Western, Central, Northern, and Volta.
- Applications must be submitted in English.
