The Vodafone Ghana Foundation is seeking proposals from NGOs, individuals, community development organizations and social enterprises for its new social intervention program. Through this program, the foundation seeks to fund development projects that contribute to the quality of life in the rural communities across the country.
The Vodafone Foundation was established to drive sustainable social interventions in communities all over Ghana. Since its establishment it has launched various social and impactful investment programmes in the country.
Selected applicants can receive up to GHC 50,000 for their projects of interest.
Areas of Interest
- Health: HIV/AIDS screening and counselling, TB vaccination, malaria eradication, maternal health issues, drug addiction in women, intellectual disability issues, and distribution of insecticide treated mosquito nets.
- Education: Reading clinics, catering and vocational training for both the physically challenged, sign language education, refurbishment of an Early Childhood Development Centre, ICT training in deprived communities, Science Education, alternative livelihood skills training water.

- Transforming the Korle-Bu Cancer ward to a state of the art cancer treatment facility.
- Building an ultra-modern community library for a cluster of schools at Asofan.
- Providing incubators for the Tamale Hospital.
- Assisting NADMO (National Disaster Management Organisation) disaster recovery efforts by providing fibre glass speed boats.
- Driving mental health awareness programmes.
- Introduced HealthLine 255, a medical call centre run by doctors and nurses to provide advice to millions of Ghanaians of health issues.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be the citizen of Ghana.
- Applicants considered for funding can include non-governmental organizations (NGOs), individuals, community development organizations and social enterprises.
- Applicant’s project must be based upon any one of the focus areas mentioned above.
