Caribbean young people are invited to apply for 1st Regional Train-the-Trainers Course in Human Rights to be held in Nassau, The Bahamas.
The training of youth trainers’ curriculum is built around the understanding that human rights principles and values are powerful tools to enhance participation, reinforce accountability and create spaces for peaceful dialogue among youth and between youth and other sectors of society.
The curriculum will focus on building confidence and capacity of participants both in terms of knowledge of human rights content as well as the ability to impart this knowledge by delivering their own human rights training sessions to other young people in their communities, using a participatory approach to human rights education.
The goal of the training is to better equip youth trainers with effective and practical tools to promote human rights and Commonwealth values amongst youth.

- Whether applicant have any previous Human Rights Training and if so what/when
- Any previous work or experience in the area of human rights
- How applicant intend to make use of the proposed training (using networks and other local stakeholders etc)
- What should be the objectives of a Caribbean Adolescent and Youth Human Rights Network, (to be launched after this first workshop) ; and how do applicant propose to contribute to sustaining such a network.
- How do applicant propose to fund attendance at the Training
