All eligible applicants are invited to apply for Haiti Disaster Risk Reduction Capacity Building program. This program is funded by Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended (FAA), the United States Government (USG), as represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA), Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA). The objective of this program offers funding for all types of natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, cyclones, floods, droughts, fires, pest infestations, and disease outbreaks.
The purpose of this APS is to disseminate information to enable prospective applicants to decide whether to seek OFDA funding in support of the subject DRR program and, if so, to assist them in developing and submitting applications. OFDA assumes no liability for reimbursing potential applicants for any costs they incur in the preparation and submission of applications.
OFDA anticipates that up to approximately US$750,000 will be available to support the program for up to 12 months from the date of award.

- Qualified U.S. and non-U.S. private non-profit organizations may apply for OFDA funding under this APS.
