U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is desired to invite applications for Haiti Disaster Risk Reduction Capacity Building Program. This program is supported by Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA), Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA). The goal of this program is to build capacity of departmental-level DPCs with-
- institutional support while complementing the current efforts of the GoH and international community, notably OFDA, USAID/Haiti, and SOUTHCOM
- a rapid response mechanism for helping meet urgent needs following a disaster in the department.
Approximately US$750,000 will be available to support the program(s) for the duration of up to 12 months from the date of award.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Qualified U.S. and non-U.S. private non-profit organizations may apply for OFDA funding under this APS.
