The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Ministry of Social Justice, along with National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) are currently inviting entries for the 1st International Film Festival for Persons with Disabilities, showcasing the feature films, documentaries and short films made for disabled persons.
Date and Venue
The screening will be showcased from December 1-3, 2015 at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all interested participants.
- The film must be in the following criteria only-
- Feature Films: Fiction features with a duration of more than 60 minutes.
- Documentary Films: With a duration of less than 60 minutes and more than 20 minutes.
- Short Films: With a duration of more than 5 minutes and less than 20 minutes.
- The film must be duly subtitled in English.
- The film must be produced in the last 5 years preceding the Festival.
- Final screening material must comply with festival technical standards.
- The film must have U or U/A censor certificate.
- In the case of International Films an equivalent certification would be required.
- Final screening material must comply with festival technical standards.
- Participant must have the right to participate in the 1st International Film Festival for Persons with Disabilities with regard to parties connected with the production/distribution of the participating film and/or other right holders/licenses.
Submission Guidelines
- All screeners must be submitted in DVD/BLU-RAY format or in USB Drive only. The applicant must ensure that the online links do not have an expiry date, as the viewing process is done over a period of over 40 days.
- Participant must submit the duly filled application form along with the uploaded photograph (300 dpi) of the filmmaker and film stills in digital format.
How to Apply
Participants must submit their DVD/BLU-RAY/USB Drive (in specified format) via mail.
