Central Institute of Classical Tamil invites application for Fellowship for Postdoctoral Students in which courses are offered by the Literature, Linguistics, or allied disciplines such as Anthropology, Sociology, Education, Archaeology, Epigraphy, Musicology, Performing Arts, Folklore, Philosophy, etc.
In order to promote scholarship in Classical Tamil, the Central Institute of Classical Tamil proposes to award Postdoctoral Fellowships to eligible candidates.The Postdoctoral Fellowship includes award of Rs. 18,000/- per month for 2 years with a contingency grant of Rs. 30,000/- per annum.
Eligibility–
- Preference will be given to those who are working on inter-disciplinary topics, Comparative Dravidian, Language Typology and Translation with special emphasis to the classical period.
- The candidate should not have exceeded 40 years of age as on 16 th August 2012. Age relaxation will be allowed for OBC candidates (three years) and SC/ST candidates (five years).
