British Council and CWIT jointly invites grant application for Doctoral Study in the fields of History,Literature, Archaeology, Philosophy, Performing and Creative arts.
3 or 4 grants a year are given to help Indian nationals doing doctorates at UK universities who are in their final year. Currently £1000 they are meant as a contribution towards completing the doctorate. Subjects covered include: history, literature, archaeology, philosophy, performing and creative arts Subjects not covered include: management, sciences, economics, law, development studies, publishing. Grants are made at the Secretary’s discretion.
Eligibility–
- be Indian Citizens normally living in India
- be between 25 and 38 years have a good knowledge of English
- be within sight of completing their doctoral studies at a UK university
- not have received a CWIT grant in the last 5 years
- be intending to return to study or work in India
