The Government of India Ministry of Science & Technology (MST), Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Russia Ministry of Education and Science (RMES) invite joint Research Proposal in the area of Health and Agriculture under Program of Cooperation (PoC). The major objective of this call is to broaden and deepen cooperation in Science & Technology in the field of Biotechnology; to encourage industrial Research & Development and related investment flows, bilaterally and/or regionally in the field of Biotechnology and to promote transparency through exchange of information and cooperation among relevant institutions.
Initial project duration is three years. Total grant from both sides is US$17,000,000.00 ($850,000 each). Funding agency in each country will support expenses for their own respective national researchers.

- Affordable Diagnostics for Human Health and Agriculture
- Affordable Devices for Human Health and Agriculture
- Bio-energy
- Nano-biotechnology
- Bio-instrumentation
Eligibility Criteria:
- The project should be a joint proposal with at least one Indian and Russian Investigator written in English language.
- Proposals of exceptional quality having a strong translational component are preferred.
- Investigator must hold a regular/permanent position in an Indian institution.
- The investigator must have at least 3 internationally peer reviewed articles in having impact factor not less than 2.
- The age of the Indian investigator should not exceed 55 years.
- Proposal must be accompanied with an originally signed letter or email from a Russian collaborator.
Note: Indian applicants should submit an electronic and a hard copy of the preliminary proposal via email to her/his country representative and the Russian counterpart will send the documents via email to her/his country representative for the joint program.
