Qualified Journalists from India are now invited to apply for Climate Change Course which will be supported by Thomson Reuters Foundation. This course will be conducted in New Delhi, India from Sept 30, 2013 to Oct 04, 2013. The purpose of this program is to concentrate on climate change in simple terms, its impact on lives, scientific forecasts, political and economic conflicts it brings etc. Through practical exercises, editing and briefings the course will help journalists improve their skills and recognize problem areas, within an interactive group environment.
Submissions required-
- A biography of up to 250 words outlining their career.
- Two recent examples of applicants published work, preferably relevant to the course for which applicants are applying, with a brief summary in English (if necessary). TV/Radio journalists can send in their scripts and a brief summary.
- A statement of between 250-500 words describing any experiences applicants have had in presenting television/radio programmes, reporting, script writing, producing/video-editing. Explain how they hope to benefit from the course for which they are applying.
Eligibility & Criteria-
Open to journalists from India currently working full- time for Indian media organisations in New Delhi. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in journalism in their country and have at least two years’ professional experience and have a good level in spoken and written English.
